Well, my weekend was definitely lazy. We didn't even do anything for the 4th! But from the looks of your posts, you all had a great weekend! I was just SO grateful to have a 3 day weekend because I so needed it!

Considering I don't have much to talk about today, it's perfect timing that C. Mae has brought back her link up, Tail Wagging Tuesday! I don't like coming off like that dog obsessed woman that I really am so this is the perfect excuse to show 'em off :)

The theme this week is pictures of the fur babies enjoying their summers thus far..

Problem is, my poor boys are hating the summer [as are we!]. Temps for the past couple of months have been in the high 90s-low 100s EVERY DAY and we are SPENT. I think the boys prefer the Fall, like their momma ;)

I know dachshunds are finicky about rainy or snowy weather but I had no idea they would get this bad during the summer because this is the first summer they've done this! I almost have to drag Niles on the sidewalk just to move! There have been points where he just stands there and stares at me because he does NOT want to walk. Brat. I think their only summer wish is to lay on a cool blanket in the a/c and drink lots of water!

Tail Wagging!

I'm totes slacking on mah blog, y'all! {aka how many made-up words can I fit into a sentence :}

I have to confess that I tried so so hard to catch up on Reader and I just could not do it. I had 700+ unread posts and after actually reading a bunch and getting all the way down to 600, I had to quit for the night. Then I tried again almost a full day later and it was up to 650+ again. So...I finally had to click "Mark All as Read". I'm kinda dying inside about it. I feel awful! But I'm sure y'all understand. Right??? So like I said a couple posts ago, pleeeease tell me if y'all shared some important news in the past week because I'd hate to miss out and not send you some happy happy joy joy comments :)

My Pet's Favorite Treats!

We actually have to keep our boys crated for a couple hours at a time each day so when we first started doing that, we decided to coerce them into the crate using treats. Now, each time we tell them "Get in!" in our happiest, most chipper voice they run to their crate - BUT they won't actually get in until we come to them with treats in hand :) If we know they'll be in there a little longer than usual, I usually give them 3 each of these bad boys. If not, usually just 1 or 2 each. They're little so we try not to overdo it, ya know?

Then my parents dogsat while we were on our trip to Denver last year and my mom {being the spoiler she is too!} got them hooked on Beggin' Strips. So these are their special treats when either we've run out of Snaps or when we feel extra horrible for leaving them crated. It's usually the latter :(

We've tried all kinds of treats with these little fools but these are their absolute faves and they've actually become quite picky over their treats. They'll eat a friggin piece of lettuce off the floor but when it comes to treat time, these are the only ones they'll eat. Brats!!

So that's that! Hope your Tuesday's been great! I'm off to relax with those brats of mine :) I had bought Ronnie and I tickets to see Rock of Ages tonight which I was so excited about but it ended up being horrible timing. He has his biology final bright and early tomorrow and is spending his evening at school in a study group. I just couldn't go without him so I sold the tickets. {Shout out to Craigslist!}. Tail Wagging Tuesday

My dogs fight over toys like crazy but they don't ever have a favorite. It's just whatever toy is around at the moment so we usually limit it to a couple...to limit the fighting! These fools also rip every bit of stuffing out as SOON as they're given a toy! Do your dogs kill off every toy as soon as they get it? ha! What are those toys called that come without stuffing? We need some of those!
These are their current favorite toys - a lion and an elephant :) {Notice, no stuffing.} {and Niles' little rat tail in the background. ha!}

Frasier's isn't that big into toys when there's food around...

Tail Wagging Tuesday!

Ok ok I wasn't going to do more than 1 post today but Tail Wagging Tuesday is too cute to pass up!

Anyone who knows me in real life knows I am full on obsessed with my animals. I'm still so far from thinking babies so these animals have definitely become my babies! 

So today I'm supposed to choose my most favorite picture of my pet which is crazy hard! But to choose just one, I HAVE to go back to baby pics...Don't you wish all babies could stay this teeny?!!
