In typical us fashion, the last week of July was pretty eventful. We've had the continued drama of teething, the dreaded (we-can't-put-this-off-any-longer) expense of new tires for my car and Violet's first busted lip. But hey, we've all been sleeping through the night too so that basically makes up for everything because SLEEP. We need it. We love it. Oh AND I've lost 9 lbs. over the last 3 weeks! HOLLER!

I honestly still can't believe it's already August. It's basically like the first time I'm hearing about this, I didn't even realize it until 11:30 last night. Shows how much I pay attention. And since the first order of the month (for me, at least) is to update my desktop wallpaper, I checked out some of my fave design sites for freebies this morning and these were the tops! I chose the very last one. As for the first weekend of August, I'm pretty excited about it! I've got Violet all to myself while Ronnie works his 11 hour shifts Sat-Sun. Basically, he hates it and I love it. ha  Not sure what we're going to do yet but it will have to involve water considering these 100+ degree temps aren't going anywhere soon. BLEH. Come on, Fall!

Ok, we are down to single digits.

My baby girl will be one in just nine days.

It's insane, y'all.

I know I'll be a mess the night before and the day of. Oh, and at her birthday party of course. (No shame!)

But right now I've gotta say, I really am loving the silly, cuddly, soo smart toddler that she's becoming.
(She's also started throwing mini tantrums and having some major 'tude but let's go back to believing she's a perfect angel, k? ;)

I took this video the other night and it's just seconds long but it's totally HER. Always smiling, always making some funny noise and ALWAYS with the fro at the beginning and end of the day. This was at the end of the day. The destroyed living room might give that away :)
