I feel like at every stage of Violet's life, we say that THIS is our favorite one. We've been saying that for months now but it really is hard to decide a true favorite. She's just such a silly, ridiculous child that you can't help but enjoy all of what she's doing. She's even sleeping pretty well nowadays, even with her molars coming in. And I KNOW it's her molars coming in because poor child has been in pain for almost 2 weeks now. The first week, her sleep was awful and she did nothing but whine in her sleep. Now, she whines during the day :( Teething is the WORST.

And for even more randomness today, this is life lately...

I'm so excited for tonight - Ronnie and I will be real-life adults! I won tickets from my friend Megan of Mean Baby, to a local event called Cocktail: The Event. I really wanted to go but it wasn't in the current budget so I was supa excited to win! Eleven of the city's top bars will be competing for the best cocktail, some of the top chefs will be serving food and there will be a couple live bands and a burlesque troupe. And we'll get to hang out with Megan and her baby daddy too. Definitely a fun night, eeek!! :)

So, you guys. Y'all are amazing.

Thank you so so much for the comments on my last post. I realized I'm not comfortable with publishing any personal drama at the moment and might not ever be. I'm normally not a private person (obviously. I keep a public blog for crying out loud) but this is just an issue I need to keep within my own little circle for now. It actually helped to at least type it all out but I don't think I want to talk about it here. My blog is all fluff and sarcasm for the most part (ok, with the occasional complaint about how child doesn't sleep ;) and I'd like to keep it that way.

I'm hopeful that the issue will get better at some point but for now, I'm not going to dwell on it. There are way too many wonderful things in my life to keep worrying about this one situation. Ronnie and I have a great relationship, we have a cozy little house, cars, my job, his school. Everything is GREAT. And to top it all off, we have V. She is literally a little bundle of happiness. And she is growing and learning so so much every day that I feel like I'm missing out when my mind wanders to other worrisome things. I can't continue to do that!

Who would ever want to miss these moments?

Life is good and I intend to keep my focus on that :)

So how was my weekend?

MESSY.

I cleaned out V's closet and clothing bins and basically just made a big mess of her room.

I posted about it yesterday but I really do need your help.

Should I sell the baby clothes at resale or open an IG shop?

And if you say IG shop, I'll need advice there too.
I don't want to lose a ton of time and money on it ya know? I'm torn.

 

Also, my kid has the BEST, cutest, funniest bed head ever.

Thankfully my mom doesn't read (or know about) my blog because I'd have to defend myself every day and explain that my house is not always this messy. Ok, yes it is, but we do clean up every day and especially when we have company coming over.

I'm so ready for the weekend, y'all! It's been a long few days. This has been the scene the past two nights. Screaming, reading, snuggling in bed, passing out for short periods...then more screaming :(

Today Ronnie woke up feeling sick too - stupid allergies. Of course, I'm feeling like the worst mom ever because I'm at work and can't be there. Thanks of course to having used all my sick leave for my gallbladder surgery. This working mom thing really blows a lot of the time but it's gotta be done!
