I really wish Baby Gap could make this swimsuit just a teeeeeny A LOT bigger so that I could get one too. Is it not the cutest thing ever? Is SHE not the cutest thing ever??? (You don't have to answer that. That's just the crazy mom talking.)

I am in awe of this girl. She is learning so much lately and I'm so blown away by the constant talk/babble coming out of her mouth (things like "bay" - baby, "pa" - light, "min" - "moon", "mine" - mine :), how she knows exactly where to point when we say "mama's nose/eyes", "daddy's beard/nose" and "outside", her constant dancing,  how she's learning what "hot" means, how she gets so excited to play outside, how her walking gets better every day, how she's now trying to jump in place, how she now has 13 teeth!!, her sweet little voice...her chunky legs...her smile...her curls. I would love nothing more than to just bottle her up at this age (I'd throw out the tantrums and crappy sleep but that's neither here nor there) and keep it forever. Everything about her is happiness and I am so grateful for her and the privilege to watch her learn and grow every day. We are so completely in love with you, little girl!!

Sappy post brought to you by our makeshift pool day yesterday, a la Brittany :) Violet's future husband Harrison seemed to love this pool-in-a-bin so I thought she would too. Not so much. Being outside in her bathing suit was happiness enough for her and for me too.

My stomach actually HURTS looking at that. I'm sick of it :(

I am just waiting patiently for the days when I'll look at the forecast and gradually see it get into the 90s...then to the 80s...and then to the holy grail, the 70s! That won't be for another few months but I swear it's what I'm living for right now!!

But in other, non-complainey news we went to the doctor yesterday and got to see our little babe! To be honest with y'all, I'd been worried that maybe something was wrong because other than being tired and hungry all the time, I've had very little queasiness and NO throwing up whatsoever. I was just freaking myself out over nothing because everything is FINE. The baby has grown a lot and is doing well! :D The doctor even said "Looking at your blood work and ultrasounds so far, I'd say this is a routine pregnancy!".

Guys. Nothing about my health has ever been routine so that was the sweetest word I've ever heard! I just hope and pray this continues to be routine!

We've already decided on names for either a girl or boy and they both start with "S". The doctor said to plan on having the "anatomy" sonogram late September! I'm so freaking excited for that! Everyone in our immediate families (except for me, my sister and one of Ronnie's sisters) is convinced it's a boy. I'd been (selfishly) hoping that we could find out mid-September because I wanted to shop for some goodies at my company's baby products trade show in late September buuut that's just me being a brat! I'm truly TRULY just happy everything is a-ok with Baby S! :D

Ok I think I've waited long enough.

First off, thanks for sticking around while I've been the perfect non-blogger for over a week now! I lost 1 follower but gained a couple new ones [HI! Thanks for being here!] so I'm just grateful y'all are still here :)

Even after that long break, I'm still not sure that was enough time to let the news sink in!

I am totally, freaking, seriously
Pregnant.

And I'm already 8 weeks along! [as of yesterday!]

So yeah, some of y'all guessed right ;)

I can hardly believe it even as I type it.

Y'all.

This is crazy, huh?

No, this wasn't planned. Yes, I'm still in shock.

[But we're still beyond excited!]

 

My doctor always said I had little chance of ever getting pregnant because of my PCOS + thyroid probs. 

I guess we showed her, huh?

So plans are definitely changing but we're excited and so looking forward to our Baby :)

I'm just glad that I can finally share this with all of you amazing ladies!
