I was paired up with Allie, my awesome guest poster from yesterday and she totally went overboard! Because my birthday had just passed, she threw in a birthday gift too. Freaking sweet, right?

She sent me an amazing scarf (one I had actually been eyeing at Target!), two nail polishes I'd blogged about AND my birthday gift - a wallet! I am in love with all of it!! Thank you so much, Allie!!

Nail Files - Head Mistress

 

A few weeks ago I won Kelly's AMAZING nail polish giveaway and I was super excited to try out one of the colors already! I chose Essie's Head Mistress from the Fall 2012 Stylenomics Mini Four Pack.

 

Cute huh?

 

 

Ignore the nasty skin around my nails please - I've been a little stressed at work which makes me pick-y!

The left picture was taken outside right after I painted them and the one on the right was taken inside. The color looks MUCH darker inside but I love it either way. I think I'll be wearing this color a lot this Fall and Winter!

 

Also included in my giveaway winnings was a Seche Vite top coat which I was soooo excited to finally try! Needless to say, it has not dissapointed me yet. That right picture was 4 days later and all that had chipped was my thumb nail. Not bad!

 

In other news....

If you're participating in Ashlee and I's Fall Swap, Monday is the deadline for sending out your partner's package! We'll link up and show off the goodies (ha!) on Oct. 11th. My partner Allie and I have already sent ours out and I cannot wait to share what she got me - she went totally overboard!!

 

In mommy news... 

Violet is 7 months old today!!! This shiz is going by way too fast and I pretty much have to keep myself from breaking out the ugly cry when I think about it. Girlfriend is all over the place and only wants to flip to her tummy now and wiggle around - I'm pretty nervous about crawling coming soon! She can't even sit still long enough for a picture anymore. See? 

I just love her face towards the end when she realized it was actually HER on camera :)

Rimmel - Stiletto Red

 Y'all. I can't even handle it when I use this color. It is my all-time favorite red!

It's a creamy red which I'm all about! and I like that Rimmel has a wider brush than most polishes. The consistency is pretty nice too, not too thin, not too thick. So definitely thumbs up for this color and polish, I love it!

I own a ton of red polishes but am always wanting to try more! What's your favorite red?

Just Add Color Fall Swap Reveal & Link Up!

Thanks to everyone who participated in me and Ashlee's First ever Just Add Color Fall Swap!! I hope everyone loves what their partner got them and I can't wait to do this again next year!

My partner was Marcy of Marcy's Mazing Moments and I really lucked out. She and I have a ton in common and she is seriously SO funny! I had a blast shopping for her and it was fairly easy considering we have similar taste (I even sent her one of the same polishes she sent me!

I received Marcy's package the same day I closed on the house so Thursday was an awesome day! Ronnie said I was more excited about the package. ha!

First off, even the mailing label was cute!

She got me TWO nail polishes! Rimmel's Steel Gray & Essie's Berry Naughty.

Obviously Marcy read this post ;)

Then the scarf...So pretty and silver with a giraffe print on it.

I immediately put it on and I LOVE IT!

 

 I'd say the swap was a success! I am so incredibly happy with the goodies and I hope she's happy with what I got her too!

Hello, Christmas at Lowe's!!
I don't even care that Halloween's not here yet, I looove the holidays!

Speaking of my sis, she had a party this weekend so my mom's house is
now full of cupcakes, cookies and candy leftovers. Not good for the preggo.
