Even though I am seriously missing Twitter, I must admit that not tweeting has freed up a lot of my time. I'm not saying I like it though. I still have a crazy urge to tweet (it's an addiction.) so I just saved my random thoughts to my phone with plans to copy this idea from (one of my now IRL friends) Elizabeth, who posted her would-be tweets when she completely quit Twitter last year. I'm not nearly as strong as her though and can't see myself ever completely quitting Twitter. I don't miss the random cattiness, show spoilers and the play by play tweets of every conference/game/show, etc., but I do really miss the good chats, the funnies and of course, having something to do when work is slow :)

 

So let's get to it! Here are my "tweets" from the past few days:

+Couple next door has started their weekend pool parties. This is great news for the parents of the toddler who wakes up easily from naps.

+Violet took like 8 steps in a row tonight and I totally screamed my head off and probably scared her. AAAGH!! :)

 

+Keeping cable another month I guess because the lady at Time Warner totally suckered me in to it. #whoops

 

+Truly truly thankful that I found @ronniecorycash and that he actually likes me back :)

 

+I'll be complaining about how stupid hot it is this summer but right now I'm seriously grateful for sandals in March.

+I've decided - V is trying to kill me. Or at least give me gray hair. Her sleeping is beyond shitty lately. She better get a new tooth out of this.

+Ronnie just made me spend $20 in ingredients for some "fat bread" he's making. And now I want to smack him in his fat head. #jk #kinda

 

+V and I are spending Sunday shopping and it's currently sunny and 58. More of this, Texas!!

 

+It's when I find crusty, dirty clothing that I remember why I don't do a lot of thrift store shopping. #gross #ididntneedtoeatlunchanyway

 

+V had never seen Yo Gabba Gabba so I put it on for her tonight - now she's obsessed and I'm incredibly annoyed. Big mistake. Huge.

Thursday Thoughts

Happy Thursday and Happy 59th Birthday to my daddy!

I don't have any recent pictures of us on this computer so I just grabbed the latest one I had on Facebook which was taken on my due date! Crazy. The old pictures is one of my favorites of us :) I love this man so so much and I really don't know what I'd do without him. I'm opinionated, hardworking and passionate because of him and I also owe my sense of humor and potty mouth to him ;) Love you, Daddy!

--We have so much going on this weekend! Saturday we're having a garage sale and then having Ronnie's fam over for a BBQ that night. So much for trying to sleep in that day. Oh wait, I'm a mom. ha! Sunday, my amazing photographer friend Elizabeth is taking Violet's 8 month pictures - V's first ever profesh shoot! :) (since I'm a bad mom and haven't had any done until now).

--I've been a Christmas shopping fool lately and I love it! I'm most excited about a little something I bought for my sister. Since she doesn't read my blog (or know about it actually) I can tell y'all that I bought her this. I'm soooo excited to get it and I really hope it's decent quality. I'll keep you posted!

--It's incredibly bad that Starbucks is offering their Caramel Brulee Latte again. I have an addiction and it's not looking pretty for my checking account.

--Can someone let me know if you've seen any deals for Erin Condren lately? I know last year at this time she was new and all over the place but I really want a planner for 2013...and I'm afraid to pay the full amount. I have a Starbucks addiction to feed, remember? Oh, and a baby to feed.

--I'm excited for new followers (hi! Thanks for being here!) and grateful for all the opportunities this blog has brought my way. Speaking of which, I have another giveaway starting next week and about 3 product reviews coming up in the next month or so. Get excited!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday, guys!! The week is actually flying by for me and I hope it is for you too! Join in the fun over at Jamie's blog and link up too!

I am loving that I finally put together a blog layout I like! It's pretty amateur but I'm so happy with it!

I am loving my new phone case...It's a clear purple and just so so pretty :) It's the little things, y'all ;)

I am loving the semi "cool front" that came in this week. It gave us some relief from the already 90+ degree temps!

I am loving Starbuck's Passion Iced Tea something fierce lately...Maybe it's the warmer temps but I've already had 3 this week. I may have a problem.

I am loving that Fiesta starts this week! It's a 10 day long party here in San Antonio with over 100 events to choose from! There's festivals, parades, tons of different food and drinks and just overall a ton of partying! I go to at least 5 events which is more than enough for me! This time of year is is also kind of like a second Christmas to my mom so she throws a big party at her house after one of the big parades. Good times!

I am loving my honey so so much. He's been so stressed with school but still finds time to leave me little love notes. I couldn't ask for a better person to share this life with!!

Summer in April & Free Target!

Happy April Fool's Day! I wish I could say I'm going to pull off some elaborate prank or lie, but I'm horrible at that stuff. What will happen is I'll think my plan is sooo clever and sooo hilarious that I'll just end up screwing it up somehow and give myself away immediately. Or of course, bust out laughing the moment I try and pull it off. Yeah, I suck.

But I did seriously think the weatherman was fooling us when he said this morning that temps could reach 90 today!! Yeah I said 90. Oh and don't forget, humid! But he wasn't joking therefore I now hate him. So to those of you up North, I'd love if you could talk to your local weather people to see what they can do about sending some of your cold down our way. Appreciate ya!

Ok, so even though the weather sucks, I have to think happy thoughts. It is FRIDAY after all! And to top that off, yesterday I received my Target $10 gift card in the mail just for signing up for Ebates a couple of months ago. I know, I'm totally late on that bandwagon but I absolutely LOVE that site now! Ronnie thought it was some sort of gimmick but it's FO REAL! I already got a check for close to $20! Now, to just remember to use the site every time I shop.

And the card came at the perfect time because I needed a couple things so I decided to take my happy butt to Target this morning before work and seriously, BEST way to start off the day! And may I also add, Thank you God for inventing Starbuck's inside Target!! That is why Target is officially my home away from home. So with my little ol' $10 gift card I was able to get:

Going for the GOLD!

I have decided today that my new goal in life is to become a Starbuck's Gold cardholder.

I am such a fool for not trying this sooner! I've been given at least 5 Starbucks gift cards in the last year but NEVER ONCE registered those cards. And I have easily purchased close to [the required for gold status] 30 drinks with those cards but it looks like I'll just have to try again to get to 30 drinks - this time with a registered card. Tough job, huh?

[Here are all the details on Starbucks' reward program in case you would like to join me on this journey! Although I'm sure most of you are MUCH smarter than I am and are already cardholders or well on your way.]

So today, armed with my addiction to iced Skinny Caramel Macchiatos [tall = just 105 calories. holla!] and a fancy new app on my phone that tells me my balance and even allows me to pay by phone, I intend to reach this goal soon.

Luckily I still had one last gift card in my wallet and it still has a balance so I registered the card and am off to Starbucks during my lunch break in a bit.
