7 years of looove.

Feb 27, 2013

So much goodness going on this week...and today is our 7 year anniversary!

I'm pretty sure I fell in love with Ronnie on our first date but I never knew that all this time later, we'd be here, sharing this life together and a daughter! I know it's a cliché but I truly don't have the words to say just how much I love this man. I never in a million years could've imagined a better friend, love and baby daddy :)

Thank you, honey for putting up with my crazies, making me laugh all day, every day and for loving me no matter what.
Thank you most of all for Violet and for being the BEST father.

I love you always!

I'm pretty sure you've heard enough about it but tomorrow is THE DAY. V turns ONE.
Wish me luck tonight. Not sure how much sobbing I'll be doing :(

Also, PLEASE come back Friday for a super exciting announcement and GIVEAWAY!!
Seriously, you know I wouldn't screw with you - it's awesome.

5 Year Anniversary Date

Feb 28, 2011

I love busy weekends and I love anniversaries! :p Yesterday was our 5 year anniversary [I can't believe that!] and we had such a fun weekend!

Saturday I got my hair done by Ronnie's sister, Krissy. It was just a simple cut and color but I needed it DESPERATELY. I'm so lucky to have one of the best hairstylists around as my [future] sister-in-law! Seriously, she's amazing! I recommend her to everyone and my best friend Michelle has even started going to her...and she just so happened to call and make an appointment for the same time as mine so Krissy just booked us together. We had a blast doing that!

Ignore the ugly no make-up/puff face..But here's before and after pics...
Before: the top layer of my hair was red which faded to ghetto brown..
Now? A more natural dark brown/light black color...which is always my fave + way easier to maintain!!

Then that evening, Ronnie had made reservations for us at The Melting Pot. *swoon* That is our favorite place ever but too expensive to enjoy but just once a year! ha! It was such a romantical night and we had our fill of cheese, salad, lobster, chicken, duck and other yummy stuff. Who knew a fondue meal could be so filling?! Oy that was a lot of food..But oh that dessert...freaking white chocolate creme brulee, yo! I ache thinking about it because I want it again so badly! ha! [But that was just a "you have to cheat because it's your anniversary" kinda meal..That won't be happening again for a LONG while!].

After dinner, we did our favorite thing which is just driving around! It was such a breezy night so we had the sunroof and windows open, I love that! Then we went home to be with our animal babies. But obviously my FAVORITE part of that night was just being able to hang out with this guy. He's been so busy with school and will be for a long while, so we really enjoyed our free time together.

Then Sunday morning we went to a rainy Farmer's Market with my friend Michelle..We got some goodies there, had a chicken burger at OrderUp [yum!] and then we all met up with Ronnie's sis and her boyfriend to see "Hall Pass". HILARIOUS movie, y'all gotta see it!

Hope y'all had a great weekend too! I'm not happy about it being Monday but I guess I'll just have to deal won't I? :)

Giftage

Feb 18, 2011

Remember that one time when I had a few anniversary gifts "chosen" for Ronnie and needed help deciding which one to buy? Well, I didn't buy any of the ones I'd posted. ha! Instead I purchased 2 funny tshirts for him that I found online but was pretty dissapointed when I received them in the mail a couple of days ago. To be dramatic, I was dissapointed in MYSELF. They have geeky sayings and are totally him but would be much better as a birthday gift, not for our anniversary! What was I thinking? Ugh.

So I went back to my original plan of buying a print off Etsy and I happened upon the lovely Ashley G's shop and am SO glad I did! She is really creative and has the cutest prints! What sealed the deal was finding US!! The print is called "A Look Only You Would Understand". Oh my heart.

Sure, she doesn't have my glasses but you get the idea :) I am so freaking ecstatic over it and I think he'll really like it! Plus I love the beard in the print and Ronnie's beard is a big deal in our household. [he sometimes gets sick of it but I am full on pro-beard and always nix the shaving!]. I placed my order today and Ashley said it probably wouldn't make it in time for next weekend due to President's day and suggested I upgrade to priority shipping...but since my Paypal was giving me hell and I was forced to check out as a "guest", she just went ahead and upgraded the shipping for me free of charge. I am amazed by her kindness!! Check her shop out, you will die and go to cuteness heaven!

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend! Some of you probably have 3-day weekends and I promise to at least act like I'm happy for you. Nope, I'm not jealous in any way :)

Love Love

Everyone's talking about Valentine's Day right now and it has me thinking about the fact that Ronnie and I don't even celebrate it! We do have a good reason though - our anniversary [Feb. 27] is just a couple weeks after so we usually just wait and celebrate then. Plus it's way more romantical for us when we're not sitting in a super crowded restaurant! Another "tradition" we break is not giving eachother a gift. We usually put our money towards a really good dinner so we've never worried about gifts and we're totally ok with that! But this year is different!

We will be celebrating 5 years together and I have decided to change this tradition of non gifting! We are going to give eachother a simple and fun gift, $30 or under. It's a bit of a challenge but I'm super excited! We are planning to go out for a nice dinner too but I think adding in a special gift will make this the best anniversary yet!

So thinking of gifts, Ronnie loves stuff for our house (well, apartment now) so I'm always looking for that kind of stuff but I've found a couple good non-house gifts too! These are my ideas so far:

{I found this in an Etsy shop and LOVE it! It matches our "hello." welcome mat so that might be cute, huh?}

{He has mentioned wanting this from Urban Outfitters...but do I really want it up at the house? ha!}

{He's been talking about this print from Urban Outfitters a ton but the large one's $55! But I love it too so I may just splurge!}

{I totally LOL'ed when I found this tshirt! It's not exactly lovey dovey but that's just our sense of humor! And since Ronnie's heritage is Scottish, I think he'd love this! He'll probably even repeat it in his best Scottish accent. lol}
{Ronnie hearts the Texans like I heart cupcakes! He'd hate that comparison but it's true. ha! He also hearts his caps to have mesh on the back so I thought this cap would be super cool.}

That's all I have so far...What do y'all think? Any ideas?

I'm super excited to give him the gift [whatever I finally choose!] but I'm most excited that I have such a sweet honey to gift...and love of course ;)
