catching up on this 30 Day Blog Journal stuff

Aug 24, 2010

I am lazy. and I quite possibly also have ADHD. But all excuses aside I'm so lame for not keeping up with this 30 Day Blog Journal thing! I was so into it but life has been busy lately but I will try hard to complete this task!!! (And thanks to Amy at Ha Ha. Wait. What? for graciously reminding me how behind I am ;)

This past weekend we went to my 10 year high school reunion and had a BLAST! Not the party itself (the mean girls are still mean girls, FYI) but re-connecting with old high school friends was definitely worth the money spent on tickets! And to top it off , I met a girl that I didn't even know in high school and we completely hit it off! We got some great pictures that night but this one is my fave, it was taken when we first arrived at the venue. I joked to everyone afterwards that this pic is so great that now there's just no need to pay for engagement pics, this is IT! lol.. Now back to business! Honestly, I'm not a big reader so Day 13 and 14 kind of bored me.. (Wow that makes me sound dumb!) But moving along...Day 15: My dream house. Ever since I was little I've dreamt about living in the old California homes of the 1960's. And a few years ago I researched them and decided that it's the architect Joseph Eichler who created the style of home that I love the most - here's a cool blog post I found with lots of Eichler home pictures. The whole retro theme has carried with me in almost everything I love in life - the way I decorate, the type of architect I love, the clothes and accessories I wear and now it's especially coming through in the kind of wedding I want. Hopefully I'll get my retro house with the flagstone fireplace one day! Now Day 16: A song that makes me cry... That would definitely be "The Chair" by George Strait. This is actually "our song" and I tear up every time I hear it. Ronnie will randomly pull it up on his ipod when we're out driving and that always makes me bawl like a little baby. He loves country music and throughout the years he has definitely turned me into a country music fan (just the old stuff, not the new pop country stuff!) This song really means a lot to us and will definitely be our first dance at the wedding - I CAN'T WAIT!
Please pay NO attention the horribly cheesy video, just listen ;)

I think I'll end the post here and just continue on tomorrow...
Thanks for sticking with me, even though I'm a total flake at posting ;)
