christmas music obsessed

Dec 4, 2012

If I'm having a bad day or it's summer in TX and I'm hating the heat (and my life at that point), I'll listen to a couple Christmas songs and instantly feel better. Now that the holidays are here, I have been obsessively listening to it since late October. No shame.

Our car radios are set to the local 24/7 Christmas music station and I may or may not have radios set to that station in both Violet's bedroom and ours so that I never have to be away from it. Having constant Christmas music on in the background is basically how I want to live every day for the rest of my life.

Obsessed much? Completely.

Today I'm sharing some of my favorite Christmas albums! Some you've probably heard a hundred times but these are staples in my collection and if you don't own them, you should!

Harry Connick Jr. // Chicago // Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Carpenters // Elf Soundtrack // Neil Diamond
She & Him // James Taylor // Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers
No, I'm not a 45 year old woman, these albums are actually REALLY good! Some bring up good memories of childhood and some are new but just as good. PROMISE! And I know some of y'all will want to kill me for saying this but I am not a fan of Michael Buble or Josh Groban... but other than them, I'm always open to new Christmas albums! Tell me your faves!

Oh and now that we're on a new month, WHO'S WITH ME, Instagram peeps?
December is only my second try at this but I sucked bad at November (I quit halfway through, I think) so I'm curious to see at what point I drop out of this. ha! #quitterandproud

I love Christmas music and hard candy christmas is one of my favorites. I also recommend All I want for christmas is a real good tan by Kenny Chesney.

And I grew up listing to the Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton Chrstmas CD! It is by far my favorite. I love it! I used to dance around the living room singing the songs!

Love Trans Siberian Orchestra!!! I don't own any Christmas albums, but if I did, I'd have to get Josh Groban's album! Love his voice! The Country Christmas station on Pandora is my fav right now though! :) Thanks for stopping by my blog!!

Neil Diamond! I don't think I have any Christmas music by him. I haven't seen the Elf soundtrack either. I knew Dolly and Kenny had some songs, but not an entire CD. I need to get some of this stat! Oh, how I love The Carpenters. And Chicago. I was pleasantly surprised by Cee Lo's Christmas CD this year. And I love Straight No Chaser. Geez, can I stop talking about them already? Haha!
