hiiiiii!!

Jan 4, 2013

Can you believe it's really 2013? Crazy talk, I swear. The emotional side of me is sad that 2012 (aka "Violet's year")  is over but my awesome side (yeah, I have one) is excited for this year. I'm super optimistic about it. I have tons of pictures to share...once I'm at home where they are sitting on the hard drive. Womp womp.

For now though, here's an IG collage I posted the other day...Just a quick look at some of the memorable moments of 2012.

Enjoyed the last few months of a fairly easy pregnancy // Celebrated 6 years with my love // Violet was born!!
We became a family of 3 // My baby sis graduated and moved away to college // Niles hurt his back but recovered!!
I had gallbladder surgery // I turned 30 // We had many firsts with Violet :)

Having Violet definitely makes 2012 my most memorable year of all. She has completely changed me and our lives and I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel like having her has helped me grow so much as an individual and I'm proud that we have made it out healthy, happy and unscathed! :) 2012 was the year that we truly became a family and having Violet has only made me and Ronnie's relationship stronger. It's been a hard year, don't get me wrong, full of adjustments, setbacks and comebacks but we will always remember 2012 as one of our favorite years.

Unfortunately, we didn't do anything to celebrate 2013. But I'm not superstitious enough to think that it was a bad way to start out year ;) We just hung out at home, had dinner, played with the babe, I did my nails and Ronnie watched a movie while I watched a Roseanne-a-thon (love her! #sorryimnotsorry). It was nice!

And now, my disco ball-ish nails from NYE!!
This and my previous 2 manis were glittery too, I must be on a sparkle kick ;)

I used L'oreal's Stroke of Midnight (hello, perfect for NYE!) and a Milani Silver glitter.

It was hard to get a clear shot of it but I loved it and it was ridiculously sparkly! Because of that, I only had it on for 2 days. I'm not cut out to be that blingy every day ;)

Happy Friday, see y'all next week!
