I swore I would never be a mommy blogger but I kinda am and I don't care like I thought I would. V really is our LIFE and if anyone had told me two years ago that I'd be talking this way, I'd have laughed and taken another swig of beer. But it's true. Having a baby changes you, your life, your relationship with your significant other, all of it. It's overwhelming and amazing all at once.
Last night I held her as she fell asleep and realized that YES, I'm going to be a wreck for the next 2 weeks. I'm taking a sad little walk down memory lane because I hate how fast it has all flown by and you know what, I'm allowed. She might be the only babe we ever have (and honestly could ever handle ;) and all sobbing aside, I really am just trying to live in each and every moment.
Last night I was knee deep in all things sparkley while I DIY'ed some props for her 1st birthday photo shoot this afternoon.
(This is definitely the fun part about having a girl :)
I'm completely excited for the photo shoot and can't wait to see her reaction to the cupcake but have to admit, I definitely have THIS girl on my heart:
Same baby Violet, just a brand new, 2 week old version.
The next 2 weeks are going to be real mushy. Fair warning, y'all.

Yesterday was quite the long day but all for a worthy cause.
My cousin Mike married his sweetie fiancée, Amy!
Today has been spent recuperating from the long day {12 pm ceremony/6 pm reception. Oy} but in all honesty I'm only complaining about it because I haven't caught up on my sleep yet and there's a slight chance I may have had one too many beers last night.
The wedding day was hot and humid but at least the rain stayed away and it ended up being a beautiful day for them. They had a traditional Catholic ceremony which some of you may also know as the longest sit - stand - kneel aerobic class of your life! But despite the workout, the church was gorgeous and the ceremony was beautiful. And as expected, there were plenty of happy tears :)
Mike and Amy are just so annoyingly incredibly cute together and he is the happiest I've ever seen him. He's already one of those mushy guys anyway so he has been pretty over the top since he met her. But we love that for him because we know how happy they are together! And just F.Y.I. - they met through eHarmony so if any of y'all single ladies were curious about it - that shiz really works!
{Side note: Ronnie and I met online as well so I can vouch for the online dating too!}
Not that any of my family reads {ok, KNOWS} about my blog but Imma congratulate them here anyway!
Mike and Amy:
You guys are so perfect together and I know you two will always be THIS happy!
Amy, I'm so excited you're now part of the crazy bunch we call family!
Love you guys!
the gorgeous church!
beautiful Hill Country view from the church
Mr. and Mrs!!!
There was an open bar - need I say more?
The next fools in line! ;)
How was your weekend?
