Shout Outs and Giveaway Talk

Aug 1, 2011

I have no shame so I'm just gonna start off with my excuses for why I've been a bad blogger and commenter lately:

1)Ronnie and I just moved over the weekend and that sucked. I may not have done the moving but supervising and cleaning are big jobs! But thanks to my amazing rockstar of a fiance and his friends, we are all moved! We're so glad to be outta there and have vowed to never ever live in an apartment again! We now are living with my parents for a few months to save money for a bigger place and for the bebe...and I guarantee in a few months we will also vow to never ever live with parents again. Seriously, I can guarantee it.

2)I used to be lazy for no reason but now, I have a reason. This babe is driving me to many many naps...uncomfortable naps too. My lower back hurts constantly and my stomach growls 24/7 which makes for very little sleep. I can hardly believe I'm now 10 weeks into this gig! :)

3)Being as tired as I've been also means I don't even have the energy to pry open my laptop when I get home from work each day. I swear it's a workout and it's always much easier to plop down in front of the TV with my big glass of ice water and bowl of fruit that I'm craving constantly.

So y'all can understand me, right? I WILL be a good blogger again one day! But for now, it's time for some shout outs!
  • Last week, my amazing, hilarious blogger friend, Elizabeth at The Life of David, Elizabeth and Peyton, did the nicest thing ever by mentioning me in one of her blog posts. Just by her being so thoughtful, I gained 4 new followers! I am so grateful to her for doing that and I want to return the favor. If y'all haven't checked her out, go over there NOW. She tells the funniest stories and has the cutest pup ever! (after mine of course :p)
  • Over the weekend, I received my first preggo gift from another sweet blogger friend, Kara at Lovin' A Farm Boy! She sent me a really cute card along with a pregnancy book that she's enjoyed through her pregnancy called "The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy". I've already read a couple chapters and it's so funny and sarcastic and has some helpful advice. Thank you again, Kara!! Be sure to go over to her blog too! She's so sweet and is expecting her first baby, a little girl, later this month!
  • Kellie is another fabulous blogger over at The Real Housewife of H20Ville and she is giving away an adorable cupcake apron and a cupcake cook book! She's pretty stinking funny so you'll like reading her blog too! Be sure to enter the giveaway before Aug. 4th!
Speaking of giveaways, thanks to my newest followers, I am now at 101 followers!! Which means... it is seriously time for a giveaway. This giveaway will have TWO winners and I'm so excited to start it, hopefully next week.

Thanks for sticking with me and I really wish I could give all of you a gift because y'all are the best blogger friends a girl could ask for :D

it's totally understandable if you've been MIA.

Hey there! I just wanted to stop by and thank you for your kind words on my blog. Your comment really meant a lot to me. Congratulations to you and your husband on your baby!!! I am so excited for the two of you and excited to share stories, advice, and more with you. Listening ear here too if you ever need someone to talk with. Very happy for you guys = )

I should read posts before opening my big mouth. So sorry I called Ronnie your husband. I should not have just assumed that. You guys will be good parents and I loved reading how excited he was about the baby. Keep taking things one day at a time and if anyone gives you crap - just let me know! I'm about 15 weeks pregnant and I could seriously kick some ass right now with these crazy hormones. Let those haters hate, you just keep taking care of you and that baby.

Last time I will comment today, I promise, but shame on your work and your boss. You do not deserve that. PLEASE don't let them bring you down. Be strong and tell them to shove it (perhaps if you want to keep this job, that is not good advice.) Are you on Twitter?

Sorry the pregnancy is making you feel so rundown lately, but at least you didn't have to move and lift heavy objects. ;) Glad you two are all moved!

Moving can always be stressful. We moved to a new apartment the week after I found out I was pregnant! That was definitely not easy. And no worries about being lazy - you have a great excuse ;)
Get some rest little mama!
