Oh, life

May 15, 2011

Here I am, slacking on blogging again. Every year after we get back from the annual conference that I just got back from, things get ca-razy around the office. Aaaand it stays that way until after our next trade show, in September. So I think my daily blogging is officially no more :( That makes me sad but I know y'all will be just fine without me! ;) I may not be commenting as much lately but I am definitely catching up on your blogs, mostly on my phone during lunch or as I'm laying in bed at night. I'll get back into commenting more soon I promise!

But for now, here's some randomness from the past week:

  • Due to work being nutzo, I have been eating like crap again and I've also started to bite my nails again. I'm pretty much disgusted with myself.
  • I SO need a vacation and have caught myself getting lost in daydreams of the beach lately.
{via}
  • Speaking of trips, I leave to Louisville tomorrow BUT it's no vacation. It's for work again :/
  • My apartment is currently a mess and I have so much on my mind that I don't even want to clean it.
  • Ronnie finished up school for the semester and ended up with 4 A's and 1 B. I am so proud of him!
  • Speaking of school, 1 salary + 1 full time student = a very broke household so Ronnie has started looking for a summer job. It would only be for a bit of course but I'm looking forward to the help! This sugar momma is running low on sugar. ha!
  • I am loving our beautiful weather this weekend. It's only reached a high of 80 all weekend and it's such a relief from the 95+ temps we were having!
  • I am desperate to see Bridesmaids! I've heard so many good things about it! Have you seen it?
  • I love me some Ed Helms but I feel like SNL didn't use him for his full comedic potential in the skits they had him in last night. I was pretty disappointed! Did you see it?

And I don't really want to focus on the sadness of it but I wanted to mention that my grandmother {Dad's mom} passed away on Friday. I grew up around her until I was about 10 when her and my dad had a falling out; they didn't start talking again until just a few years ago. They never became close again but I'm glad they at least had that time together. She was 89 and my heart is breaking for all of my cousins and aunts/uncles who were very close with her. If you're a praying person, please keep my family in your prayers. Her funeral is Thursday and I'll be getting back from my work trip just in time for it, thank goodness.

RIP Grandma!

I hope y'all have an amazing week and hopefully I'll be back to blog again later this week!! xoxo

Yeah, I haven't been blogging as much either. Life gets crazy! Sounds like you've been busy. My house is in disarray, but I have not been able to tidy it! Someday.

I hope you can get a beach vacation someday. :)

I'm so sorry about your grandma.

Sorry about your Grandma, so glad your Dad made amends with her before she passed.

If I lived near you, I'd go see Bridesmaids with you :)

Hope your life doesn't get any more crazy.

Yeah, I have totally been sucking on blogging this week, but I have an excuse. I just can't share quite yet ;)

Sorry about your grandma. You and your family will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. I have a similar story to yours - having a falling out with my grandmother at a young age (well, my mom did) and then reuniting later. She passed away about a year after our reunite. It was nice that we got to spend time together before she did pass away. I'm glad that you all reuinted, too. Again, in my prayers!

I just saw Bridesmaids today and thought it was funny! I love Kristen Wiig. And I agree with you about Ed Helms on SNL - I was disappointed.

I'm sorry for your family's loss. :(

So sorry to hear about your grandma. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

I love that you referred to yourself as a "sugar mama". Ha ha! When Hubs was in law school, everyone would ask me how I supported him. I was like, "Duh. Law school loans. I don't make THAT much money!"

I cannot wait to see Bridesmaids. OMG. And I Loooooove Ed Helms. Maybe I'm weird, but I think he's such a cutie! :)

So sorry to hear about your grandmother & all the overwhelm-ness you're feeling. Hopefully things will settle soon. Mayby take a vacation day or 2 just to rest and catch up on life? I've yet to watch SNL [it's DVRed] but I heard the same thing from someone else.

So sorry to hear about your grandma :(

I found your blog through Suze Blog, and I'm loving it! I especially love the title...very sweet. Hope you have a good trip to Louisville!

Oh, and I understand having a hubby in college. We're struggling with one and half salaries now and him in college. No fun, but one day it'll be worth it!
