Nail Files Newbie

Happy Friday, friends!

I'm linking up with Tara and Vicki for the first time - what a special day ;)

I went old school and instead of using a glitter polish as the extreeeemely popular accent nail, I did all my nails in it! Reminds me of my high school days ;)

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Princess Cut"
from my recent polish swap partner, Amy!
It's not the most eye catching polish ever but I love it! It adds just the perfect amount of sparkle ;) And in the sunlight it's more pink and sparkley (damn my bathroom lighting!). I normally wear much more vivid colors so I'm sure you'll see more of those around here soon!

I have to say, I was really happy with this polish because it's not one of those annoying glitter ones that takes a hundred sloppy coats to look normal! This only took 2 coats and I'd describe it as a polish that happens to have some flakes of glitter in it rather than those chunky glitter polishes that are so effing hard to apply! Does that makes sense? Polish lovahs know what I mean! ;)
I finally tried this clean up pen too, also from my swap partner, and LOVE it! Just a little swipe on the sides of my nails and they're cleaned up quickly! The pen's a little thick so you have to be careful not to touch your actual nail but really it's so easy!

Question for you nail pros, how do I get my nails looking white again? I've had so many different shades on lately that they're looking a little yellow and I hate it! :( Thanks in advance!

That glittery color is so beautiful! I love how it's kinda subtle, but it has so much interest to it!

I hope you have a great weekend! I would love for you to stop by sometime and say hello! leslyni.blogspot.com

Yay, I love this linkup! I use glitter on all of mine too. I love that color and I need that corrector. I don't know how to get the yellow to go away, but to make sure it doesn't come back always, always use a basecoat. I used to just not use polish for like a week between colors to let them breathe, or whatever, but I asked when getting a manicure one day and she said as long as I use a good basecoat I shouldn’t have any problems. I’ve been using Essie all in one or grow stronger for about six months and haven’t had yellow nails since.

Ooooh I need to try that pen! I'm so sloppy when I do my nails, I always just do them before I shower and then hope the shower will wash everything off my skin, haha!

Oh wow I'll have to try that No More Mistakes pen!

Baking soda helps get stains out of nails. You may also need to give your nails a breather. Buff them, paint a strong base coat and don't paint them for a week. Hope this helps :)
