This Morning + A Guest

Jul 3, 2012

I was here this morning at 3 am:

and this is how I had to lay for the next 3 hours:

Remember all that "acid reflux" and "GERD" pain I kept mentioning around here? Well apparently I don't have any of that. I have gall stones. Apparently I have a high pain tolerance too because I had no clue it could even be that.

And you know what? This was totally brought on by pregnancy. So not only did baby girl cost a lot to be brought into this world by c-section and for her time in the NICU, now she'll cost me my gallbladder. (I think I'll keep her though ;)
So next up - surgery! I just have to set it all up now but 'til then, I'm gonna bask in the happiness of morphine!

and seriously, y'all are amazing. Thanks so much for all the tweets, Facebook comments and prayers and concern. It means SO much to me!

And crazy timing but there's a silver lining in today - my guest post is up over at Asha's Aspects now! I'm not a cool kid who's ever asked to do that kinda thing (I've only done it once before) but while she's out vacationing and doing all kinds of exciting, non gallbladder related stuff, she asked a few of us to guest post and gave us some fun questions to answer. So head over and check it out and be sure to follow sweet Asha! :)

How scary! At least they know what it is and can fix it, even if it does mean surgery. Hope you feel better. And don't forget to enjoy that morphine ;)

Yuck! I hope you get relief from the surgery. It is so crazy how pregnancy does all that to our body.

I am so sorry you have been so sick! At least now you have it figured out, even though it means surgery. :( Any thoughts on when you'll have to do that? Will you just basically be cured after that or what? (Forgive my lack of gall stone knowledge!)

Thinking of you! Feel better!
